The Market As We See It

People keep asking us about the market, and here’s the way we see it right now. Since the beginning of May, our team has closed 15 transactions, and 13 of them were buyers purchasing new homes. Today’s interest rates are not deterring as many buyers as we all would expect.

Some listings are lingering a little bit longer than expected because sellers are detached from the pain a lot of buyers are facing with the high rates. Yet, other listings are flying off the shelf with multiple offers and selling for $100K+ over the asking price. It all comes down to price point and product.

Sellers who have a nice product and price their properties well are still creating bidding wars. We’ve been in a few lately and have been able to help our client’s offers get accepted due to some of the strategies and techniques we use to help our client’s win. Overall, you have to move quickly because a lot of these homes are selling fast.

For sellers, this is still a great time to sell and make your move. Getting the ideal offer with terms that are acceptable to you can make your move less stressful. As a buyer, it is so important to make sure you have a preapproval letter ready to go. For a more in depth analysis on the market, let us know what market segment you are interested in and we can do a complete market overview with you.
